One email I receive over and over again asks me how to get coupons print. With browser updates and computer application upgrades, this can be an issue. I know some of you can not print SmartSource coupons easily and others are not sure what your errors might mean.
The Coupon Printer application only needs to be installed once and allows you to access valuable savings from thousands of websites across the Internet. Look for the 'Powered by Coupons.com' logo on your favorite websites, print your coupons, and save at the store! Printer and scanner drivers for Mac If you have an older printer that doesn't support driverless technology, your Mac might automatically install the driver software needed to use that device. Many printers and scanners use driverless technologies such as AirPrint or IPP Everywhere, which don't require additional drivers on your Mac.
I’ve listed out some of the most common printing issues and some steps you can take to correct them — or at least understand what they mean.
I have downloaded the Target software and it keeps telling me to do it again and again. If you have already downloaded the software, you can’t download it again. There are two things you can try if this happens to you:
1 – Delete the coupon software and download it again as it possible that the version you have is somehow corrupt.
2 – Try another browser. Sometimes a coupon my not print in Chrome, but it might work when using Safari or Firefox (for example).
I can’t print anything that is a Smart Source coupon. This is a common problem and often times the fix is simply due to the version of Java that is installed on your computer. Simply complete an update and this can help.
When I try to print Smart Source coupons, I get the message “Sorry. Your Default Printer Is Not Supported.” Follow these simple steps to print these coupons (just change them back to the original settings when you are done printing).
- Go to Control Panel.
- Select Printers.
- Right click your printer.
- Select properties and then Advanced.
- Select the “Print Directly to Printer” option.
- Click apply.
It should now print for you. As mentioned above, make sure to change the settings back when you are done printing. If you still are unable to print, review Smart Source Help resources (go to their page and scroll down to GET HELP).
I have a mac and have lots of issues trying to get coupons to print. Some sites do not support Internet Explorer on Macs. Try to use either Firefox or Safari instead.
I have tried printing and it won’t work – no matter what. There are a few things you can try:
Download Coupon Printer For Mac Laptop
- You might try to change your browser to Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari (depending upon which one you are currently using).
- Your firewall may also be blocking the print. You might try to disable it and then print to see if that isn’t your issue.
- Make sure the default printers is not set to pdf format.
- Make sure the settings for browser add-ons are actually turned on. These sometimes include settings which allow plugins such as coupon printers to work.
- Run a test page from another application, such as Word, to make sure your printer is properly connected.
- Always test your print with a coupon you don’t necessarily want or need so that you do not waste a print on something you may want.
I’ve never printed the coupon before, but it says I already did – can I still get one? That depends. If the coupon starts with http://bricks………. you can. When the page loads (but before you tell it to print), scroll down to the bottom of the screen and hit the HELP link. You can request the coupon be mailed to you instead.
I can’t print the coupons from my mobile device. If you can not get the coupons to print, the first thing you need to do is to make sure that your coupon is connected to your wireless printer. Find another application and do a test print (so as to not waste a possible coupon print).
In addition, the first time you print from coupons.com, you will be prompted to request a pin. This will be texted t you and you need to enter it before you are allowed to print anything. If you did not yet do this, you must, or you will not have access to those coupons.

I can’t get any coupons to print, can’t I just ask someone to mail them to me? Unfortunately, you can not. Coupons.com, SmartSource and RedPlum only offer coupons via print. There is not any way to request that they be mailed to you.

Here at True Couponing, we receive questions daily about all kinds of things pertaining to couponing. To help answer your questions, we post Questions and Answers to some of the Frequently Asked Questions we receive from our readers.
Today’s question comes from Karrie who recently attended one of our FREE Coupon Classes…
Question:
“I haven’t been able to print Red Plum and Smart Source coupons in AGES on my Mac. I’ve updated my java but it says I haven’t. I’ve tried a couple different browsers and it still won’t work. It’s been so frustrating missing out on great deals because I can’t print, so any help would be appreciated.”
Answer:
I have been a happy Mac user for several years now! There have been times that I experienced trouble printing coupons from my Mac, though. Here are some things I have found (from research and trial-and-error) to fix coupon printing issues. (Many of these fixes will apply to PC users as well.)
Operating system update:
Start by making sure you have the latest Mac operating system installed. Click the little apple icon in the top left corner of your screen and then choose “About this Mac.” The latest version is 10.9.5. Click the “Software Update…” button to make sure you have the latest version installed and that all your software is up to date.
Browser update:
The next thing to check is each browser you use. Make sure you have all the latest updates for Safari, Firefox, Chrome or whatever browser(s) you use. NOTE: I do not recommend using Internet Explorer for Mac or PCs. Not all coupon application software supports Internet Explorer.
You will have times that a coupon site might not work with every browser. You need to make sure you have more than one browser installed on your computer. Each browser will have updates at different times. If a browser updates to a newer version of Java and the coupon printing site isn’t using the same version, you will not be able to print the coupons. Since each browser updates at different times, you will usually be able to find at least one browser that works. The ones I use the most are Firefox, Chrome and Safari in that order.
Enable Java:
Then check your Java. You’ll need to make sure Java is up to date in each Browser you use AND it also needs to be activated on a Mac in “Utilities.” You will need to update Java in “Utilities” after each operating system upgrade (i.e. new version of OS X Lion).
To enable Java through Java Preferences in Mac OS X “Utilities”, do the following:
- Open the Finder.
- Go to Applications > Utilities > Java Preferences.
- If you do not have a Java Preferences icon here, skip these instructions and proceed with enabling Java in Safari and any other browsers, as described below. Once Java has been enabled here, the Java Preferences icon will no longer appear.
- Under the General tab, put a check mark next to Enable applet plug-in and Web Start applications.
- Also make sure all versions of Java have a check mark next to them.
- Close Java Preferences.
Java has now been enabled through Java Preferences.
To enable Java in your Safari browser, do the following:
- Launch Safari.
- Click Safari > Preferences….
- Click the Security tab.
- Put a check mark next to Enable Java.
- Close the preferences window.
Java is now enabled in Safari.
There are links with directions to enable Java on other browsers in THIS POST.
(There are also other things you can try in this post, but they are not Mac specific.)
Update Coupon Printer Applications:
Coupon Printer Applications are sometimes updated. If you are still having problems printing, you can uninstall and reinstall these applications.
